How can I be­come a Stofn mem­ber?

If you buy Fam­i­ly Pro­tec­tion and two oth­er types of in­sur­ance from us, you will au­to­mat­i­cal­ly get into Stofn. There you en­joy var­i­ous ben­e­fits in ad­di­tion to the Road­side As­sis­tance.

  • If you need help fill­ing out a dam­age re­port (avail­able in the cap­i­tal area).

Cus­tomers in Stofn are en­ti­tled to Road As­sis­tance three times a year for free. Chil­dren of cus­tomers in Stofn, who have the same domi­cile as a par­ent or guardian, can also use the as­sis­tance re­gard­less of the ve­hi­cle. 

Where is road­side as­sis­tance avail­able?

Our Road­side as­sis­tance is avail­able in the Reyk­javik area, Akranes, Bor­gar­nes, Reyk­janes­bær, Hver­agerði, Self­oss, Höfn, Akureyri and Egilsstaðir. Se­cu­ri­tas han­dles the ser­vice of Sjóvá´s Road­side As­sis­tance and the ser­vice is free of charge up to three times a year.

Flat tire, dead car bat­tery or no gas

Sjóvá Road­side As­sis­tance is a ser­vice we of­fer mem­bers of Stofn if they need help with a flat tire, dead car bat­tery or if the run out of gas.

Claim re­ports

  • If you have a col­li­sion in the cap­i­tal area, you can call Road­side As­sis­tance and get as­sis­tance from an in­de­pen­dent pro­fes­sion­al to fill out the claim re­port. Its ben­e­fits are a de­tailed ex­am­i­na­tion of the sit­u­a­tion and pho­tog­ra­phy used in the set­tle­ment of the claim. Claim re­port is sub­se­quent­ly sent elec­tron­i­cal­ly to in­sur­ance com­pa­nies for res­o­lu­tion. This ser­vice saves you steps and speeds up case pro­cess­ing.

  • The ser­vice is avail­able be­tween 07.00 and 18:30 every work­ing day and is only avail­able in the cap­i­tal area.

As­sis­tance and Safe­ty (Aðs­toð og Öryg­gi) han­dles the ser­vice for claim re­ports on be­half of Sjóvá's Road­side As­sis­tance.

Dis­count on a tow truck if the ve­hi­cle breaks down

Road­side As­sis­tance staff can­not re­pair the ve­hi­cle in the event of a break­down. If the ve­hi­cle needs re­pair and you need a help of a tow truck, Vaka pro­vides cus­tomers in Stofn with a 15% dis­count on their ser­vice.
